Silent Night Silent night, holy
night, All is calm, all is bright Round yon virgin
mother and child. Holy infant so tender and mild, Sleep
in heavenly peace. Sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent
night, holy night, Shepherds quake at the sight, Glories
stream from heaven afar, Heavely hosts sing
alleluia; Christ the Saviour, is born! Christ the
Saviour, is born!
Silent night, holy night, Son of
God, love's pure light Radiant beams from thy holy
face, With the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at
thy birth. Jesus, Lord, at thy birth. |

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
God rest
you merry, gentlemen, Let nothing you dismay, Remember
Christ our Saviour Was born on Christmas Day; To save us
all from Satan's power When we were gone astray.
O
tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy, O tidings
of comfort and joy!
From God our heavenly Father A
blessed angel came; And unto certain shepherds Brought
tidings of the same; How that in Bethlehem was born The
Son of God by name.
O tidings of comfort and
joy, Comfort and joy, O tidings of comfort and
joy!
"Fear not, then," said the angel, "Let nothing
you affright; This day is born a Saviour Of a pure
virgin bright, To free all those who trust in him From
Satan's power and might."
O tidings of comfort and
joy, Comfort and joy, O tidings of comfort and
joy!
Now to the Lord sing praises, All you within
this place, And with true love and brotherhood Each
other now embrace; This holy tide of Christmas Doth
bring redeeming grace.
O tidings of comfort and
joy, Comfort and joy, O tidings of comfort and
joy! |

Holly Jolly Christmas
Have a holly,
jolly Christmas; It's the best time of the year I don't
know if there'll be snow But have a cup of cheer Have a
holly, jolly Christmas; And when you walk down the
street Say Hello to friends you know And everyone you
meet.
Oh, ho the mistletoe Hung where you can
see; Somebody waits for you; Kiss her once for
me Have a holly jolly Christmas And in case you didn't
hear Oh by golly Have a holly jolly Christmas this
year |

O' Little Town of Bethlehem
O little
town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie! Above thy
deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by: Yet in
thy dark streets shineth The everlasting light; The
hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee
to-night.
For Christ is born of Mary; And gathered
all above, While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their
watch of wondering love. O morning stars
together Proclaim the holy birth; And praises sing to
God the King, And peace to men on earth.
How
silently, how silently, The wondrous Gift is given! So
god imparts to human hearts The blessings of His
Heaven. No ear may hear His coming, But in this world of
sin, Where meek souls will receive Him still, The dear
Christ enters in.
O holy Child of Bethlehem, Descend
to us, we pray; Cast out our sins, and enter in, Be born
in us to-day. We hear the Christmas angels The great
glad tidings tell; O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord
Emmanuel. |

Sleigh Ride
Just hear those sleigh
bells jinglin' Ring ting tinglin' too Come on, it's
lovely weather For a sleigh ride together with
you
Outside the snow is falling And friends are
calling "You Hoo" Come on, it's lovely weather For a
sleigh ride together with you
Giddy-up giddy-up
giddy-up let's go Let's look at the snow We're riding in
a wonderland of snow
Giddy-up giddy-up giddy-up it's
grand Just holding your hand We're gliding along with
the song Of a wintry fairy land
Our cheeks are nice
and rosy And comfy cozy are we We're snuggled up
together like two Birds of a feather would be
Let's
take the road before us And sing a chorus or two Come
on, it's lovely weather For a sleigh ride together with
you
There's a birthday party at the home of Farmer
Gray It'll be the perfect ending of a perfect day We'll
be singing the songs We love to sing without a single
stop At the fireplace while we watch the chestnuts
pop Pop! Pop! Pop!
There's a happy feeling nothing
in the world can buy When they pass around the
coffee And the pumpkin pie It'll nearly be like a
picture print by Currier and Ives These wonderful things
are the things We remember all through our lives |

Frosty The Snowman
Frosty the snowman
was a jolly happy soul With a corncob pipe and a button
nose And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the
snowman is a fairy tale they say He was made of snow but
the children Know how he came to life one day.
There
must have been some magic in that Old silk hat they
found For when they placed it on his head He began to
dance around
Frosty the snowman was alive as he could
be And the children say he could laugh And play just the
same as you and me.
Frosty the snowman knew the sun was
hot that day So he said "Let's run and We'll have some
fun now before I melt away.
Down to the village with a
broomstick in his hand Running here and there all around
the square Saying Catch me if you can.
He led them
down the streets of town Right to the traffic cop, and he
only paused a moment When he heard him holler
"Stop!"
Frosty the snowman had to hurry on his
way But he waved goodbye saying "Don't you cry I'll be
back again some day".
Thumpitty thump thump, thumpitty
thump thump Look at Frosty go Thumpitty thump thump,
thumpitty thump thump Over the hills of snow. |

Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like
Christmas
It's beginning to look a lot like
Christmas Everywhere you go; Take a look in the
five-and-ten, Glistening once again With candy canes and
silver lanes aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like
Christmas, Toys in every store, But the prettiest sight
to see is the holly that will be On your own front
door.
A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that
shoots Is the wish of Barney and Ben; Dolls that will
talk and will go for a walk Is the hope of Janice and
Jen; And Mom and Dad can hardly wait For school to start
again.
It's beginning to look a lot like
Christmas Everywhere you go; There's a tree in the Grand
Hotel, One in the park as well, The sturdy kind that
doesn't mind the snow.
It's beginning to look a lot
like Christmas; Soon the bells will start, And the thing
that will make them ring Is the carol that you
sing Right within your heart. |

Away In A Manger
Away in a manger, no
crib for his bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet
head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where he
lay, The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.
The
cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus
no crying he makes. I love thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from
the sky, And stay by my side until morning is
nigh.
Be near me, Lord Jesus; I ask Thee to
stay Close by me forever And love me I pray! Bless
all the dear children In Thy tender care, And fit us for
Heaven To live with Thee there. |

Have Yourself A Merry Little
Christmas
Have yourself a merry little
Christmas. Let your heart be light, From now on our
troubles Will be out of sight.
Have yourself a merry
little Christmas, Make the Yule-tide gay, From now on
our troubles Will be miles away.
Here we are as in
olden days, Happy golden days of yore, Faithful friends
who are dear to us Gather near to us once
more.
Through the years we all will be together If
the Fates allow, Hang a shining star on the highest
bough, And have yourself A merry little Christmas
now. |

The Christmas Song
Chestnuts roasting
on an open fire Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir And folks
dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and
some Mistletoe help to make the season bright Tiny
tots with their eyes all aglow Will find it hard to sleep
tonight
They know that Santa's on his way He's
loaded lots of toys and goodies On his sleigh And
ev'ry mother's Child is gonna spy to see if Reindeer
really know how to fly
And so, I'm offering this
Simple phrase to kids from One to ninety-two
Altho' it's been said many times Many ways; "Merry
Christmas to you" |
 |
Do They Know It's Christmas
It's
Christmastime; there's no need to be afraid At
Christmastime, we let in light and we banish shade And in
our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy Throw your
arms around the world at Christmastime But say a prayer to
pray for the other ones At Christmastime
It's hard,
but when you're having fun There's a world outside your
window And it's a world of dread and fear Where the only
water flowing is the bitter sting of tears
And the
Christmas bells that ring there Are the clanging chimes of
doom Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you And
there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime
The
greatest gift they'll get this year is life Oh, where
nothing ever grows, no rain or rivers flow Do they know
it's Christmastime at all?
Here's to you, raise a glass
for ev'ryone Here's to them, underneath that burning
sun Do they know it's Christmastime at all?
Feed the
world Feed the world
Feed the world Let them know
it's Christmastime again Feed the world Let them know
it's Christmastime again |

I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day
I
heard the bells on Christmas Day Their old familiar carols
play. And wild and sweet the words repeat Of Peace on
earth, good will to men.
I thought how as the day had
come The belfries of all Christendom Had roll'd along
th' unbroken song Of Peace on earth, good will to
men.
And in despair, I bow'd my head: "There is no
peace on earth," I said, "For hate is strong and mocks the
song, Of Peace on earth, good will to men."
Then
pealed the bells more loud and deep; "God is not dead, nor
doth He sleep; The wrong shall fail, the right
prevail, With Peace on earth, good will to men." |
 |
It Came Upon a Midnight Clear
It came
upon the midnight clear, That glorious song of old, From
angels bending near the earth To touch their harps of
gold: "Peace on the earth, good will to men, From
heaven's all-gracious King." The world in solemn stillness
lay To hear the angels sing.
Still through the
cloven skies they come With peaceful wings unfurled, And
still their heavenly music floats O'er all the weary
world; Above its sad and lowly plains They bend on
hovering wing, And ever o'er its Babel-sounds The
blessed angels sing.
Yet with the woes of sin and
strife The world has suffered long; Beneath the heavenly
strain have rolled Two thousand years of wrong; And man,
at war with man, hears not The tidings which they
bring; O hush the noise, ye men of strife, And hear the
angels sing!
O ye, beneath life's crushing
load, Whose forms are bending low, Who toil along the
climbing way With painful steps and slow, Look now! for
glad and golden hours Come swiftly on the wing; O rest
beside the weary road And hear the angels sing!
For
lo! the days are hastening on, By prophets seen of
old, When with the ever-circling years Shall come the
time foretold, When peace shall over all the earth Its
ancient splendors fling, And the whole world give back the
song Which now the angels sing. |

Jingle Bell Rock
Jingle bell, jingle
bell, jingle bell rock Jingle bells swing and jingle bells
ring Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun Now the
jingle hop has begun.
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle
bell rock Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time Dancing
and prancing in Jingle Bell Square In the frosty
air.
What a bright time, it's the right time To rock
the night away Jingle bell time is a swell time To go
gliding in a one-horse sleigh Giddy-up jingle horse, pick
up your feet Jingle around the clock Mix and a-mingle in
the jingling feet That's the jingle bell, That's the
jingle bell, That's the jingle bell rock. |

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas
Jolly old
Saint Nicholas, Lean your ear this way! Don't you tell
a single soul What I'm going to say; Christmas Eve is
coming soon; Now, you dear old man, Whisper what
you'll bring to me; Tell me if you can.
When the
clock is striking twelve, When I'm fast asleep, Down
the chimney broad and black, With your pack you'll creep;
All the stockings you will find Hanging in a row;
Mine will be the shortest one, You'll be sure to know.
Johnny wants a pair of skates; Susy wants a dolly;
Nellie wants a story book; She thinks dolls are folly;
As for me, my little brain Isn't very bright;
Choose for me, old Santa Claus, What you think is
right. |

You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch
You're a
mean one, Mr. Grinch You really are a heel, You're as
cuddly as a cactus, You're as charming as an eel, Mr.
Grinch, You're a bad banana with a greasy black peel!
You're a monster, Mr. Grinch, Your heart's an
empty hole, Your brain is full of spiders, You have
garlic in your soul, Mr. Grinch, I wouldn't touch you with
a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole!
You're a foul one,
Mr. Grinch, You have termites in your smile, You have
all the tender sweetness of a seasick crocodile, Mr. Grinch,
Given a choice between the two of you I'd take the seasick
crocodile!
You're a rotter, Mr. Grinch, You're the
king of sinful sots, Your heart's a dead tomato splotched
with moldy purple spots, Mr. Grinch, You're a three decker
sauerkraut and toadstool sandwich with arsenic
sauce!
You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch, With a nauseous
super "naus"!, You're a crooked dirty jockey and you drive
a crooked hoss, Mr. Grinch, Your soul is an appalling dump
heap overflowing with the most disgraceful Assortment of
rubbish imaginable mangled up in tangled up knots!
You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch, You're a nasty
wasty skunk, Your heart is full of unwashed socks, Your
soul is full of gunk, Mr. Grinch, The three words that best
describe you are as follows, and I quote, "Stink, stank,
stunk"! |

Winter Wonderland
Sleigh bells ring,
are you listening, In the lane, snow is glistening A
beautiful sight, We're happy tonight, Walking in a
winter wonderland.
Gone away is the bluebird, Here
to stay is a new bird He sings a love song, As we go
along, Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow
we can build a snowman, Then pretend that he is Parson
Brown He'll say: Are you married? We'll say: No
man, But you can do the job When you're in
town.
Later on, we'll conspire, As we dream by the
fire To face unafraid, The plans that we've
made, Walking in a winter wonderland.
In the meadow
we can build a snowman, And pretend that he's a circus
clown We'll have lots of fun with mister snowman, Until
the other kiddies knock him down.
When it snows, ain't
it thrilling, Though your nose gets a chilling We'll
frolic and play, the Eskimo way, Walking in a winter
wonderland.
Walking in a winter wonderland, Walking
in a winter wonderland. |
